Skin Protection In Winter Season

As season changes your skin requires different skin care. Weather sometimes makes your skin greasy and full of sweat this happens in summer season while the other times winter makes your skin dry flaky and cracked. In winter season your skin get dry and it result in flaking cracking and even eczema (in which the skin becomes inflamed)so it is important that you understand the change that weather brings to your skin.

To protect your skin from seasonal problems you need to follow these expert suggested tips:

MOISTURIZE REGULARLY
Moisturizer that works fine in spring and summer will definitely not work in winter season. as weather condition changes you should change your skin care routine accordingly. For winter season use “orintment moisturizer “which is oil based rather than water based. This type of moisturizer will retain more moisturizer than cream or lotion. But choose oil with care because not all oil are appropriate for your face instead look for non clogging oil like avocado oil, mineral oil, primrose oil or almond oil. You can also use lotions containing “humectants”  (which include glycerin, sorbitol & alpha hydroxyl acids ) that attract moisturizer.

DRINK A LOT OF WATER
Water is very important for body it keeps you healthy; each glass of water adds a valuable moisturizer to your skin. In cold season you must drink six to eight glasses of water a day and you will find a clear difference before and after. Drinking water helps your skin stay young looking.

LIPS BALM
Cold season makes you lips dry and cracked, it just not look rough but also irritates you whole time. Apply lip balm regularly so that lips remain moisturized and don’t get rough

      PACE THE PEEL
Avoid using rough peels, alcohol based toner and masks because these will extract necessary oil from your skin and makes your skin drier. To prevent this problem, find a cleansing milk or mild foaming cleanser toner and mask with no alcohol.

BAN PROLONG BATH AND HARSH SOAP
Avoid taking long bath and harsh soap. Take bath with lukewarm water, a lukewarm bath with oatmeal or baking soda can help relieve skin that is to dry. If you are using harsh soap then you were experienced that it creates a layer of white chemicals that makes your skin drier so avoid using these type of soaps and use soft milding soap to reduce dryness from your face.

USE LEMON JUICE
Start your morning with a glass of lemon juice it contains vitamin C which is very essential for your body. You can also use other fruits like oranges and citrus fruits to fight with winter season.
